Evergreen Line, Vancouver

VIA Architecture have been selected as part of the Owner's Engineer team to be lead architects and lead urban designers for the $1.4 Billion Evergreen Line. This completes the firm's long history of working at bringing transit to the northeast sector of Metro Vancouver.

The Evergreen Line is a planned 10.9 kilometre (6.8 mi) long rapid transit line in Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It will run from Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain station in Burnaby through Port Moody to Coquitlam. The goal of this project is to boost projected ridership by adding capacity, speed and integrating the system with the Millennium line to reduce the number of times users need to change systems.

Anticipated completion is 2014

Sun Rivers Village, Kamloops

Sun Rivers Village is an 11.4 acre parcel of land adjacent to a golf course, which will become the focal point of this new community in Kamloops. VIA is providing urban design and master planning services for this residential development consisting of 455 multi-family homes, office and commercial space, and a residents club for use by the entire Sun Rivers Golf Resort Community.

The Village will attract both residents and visitors to a combination of community facilities, retail goods and services, work places, indoor and outdoor gathering places, and a village commons amenity that will be the "Central Park" for Sun Rivers Golf Resort Community.
