GENERAL MOTORS PLACE VIA Architecture was responsible for the conceptual design and rezoning of this 20,000-seat arena, which is now the home of the Vancouver Canucks NHL hockey team. The project has revitalized this portion of the City’s former industrial waterfront. In establishing the connection between False Creek up to the Downtown escarpment, G.M. Place has since helped make it feasible to build out the 1.5 million sq. ft. International Village mixed use development for which VIA Architecture were also architects and urban planners.
