Plaza 88
Across the street from the consignment store
In the historic interurban terminus
For years also languished the aerial station
Of the new SkyTrain, carrying millions to new fields
Of development across the river,
Presiding over lands emptied of industry
Except for the trade of drugs.
Now wrapped by new market hall
SkyTrain is recast as a grand station,
Foundation of the green hill
Whose towering residences
Mark the Royal City's return
To the light of urban amenity
After 50 years of regrets,
In the shadow of the once "Golden Mile".
