Matt Roewe's raison d'etre is "real urbanism" and the art of great place making. Matt believes sustainable living is rooted in minimizing our ecological footprint and reconsidering how we live, work, and play. He sets an example from the seat of a bicycle and his livable/walkable neighborhood. As VIA pursues social, ecological, and land-use initiatives through urban planning and mixed-use design work, Matt continues to learn, mentor and guide his own community through avid civic participation in organizations such as the Seattle Design Review Board, The Seattle Great City Initiative, The Seattle Streetcar Alliance and others. His alter ego, "Cool Breeze" can occasionally be found blowing his own trumpet.
