VIA supported a local property owner to create a flexible framework Development Agreement at the gateway to Issaquah from I-90. The public/private partnership provides implementing codes, guidelines, standards, and ongoing commitments to achieve two new mixed-use, livable neighborhoods with 4.4 million square feet of redevelopment area.

 

Buildings designed to engage the street are supplemented by two new neighborhood parks, new streets, walkways and trails, rehabilitation of a salmon bearing stream, and a generous public realm designed to bring people back “downtown.”

 

Our team was responsible for initial vision, public meeting facilitation, EIS Alternatives production, and collaborated with team members in the drafting the Development Agreement.
