Montreal, Quebec

For this mixed-use master plan on the northern tip of Nun's Island, VIA's scope of work included design principles, infrastructure, massing, building and public space typologies, street standards and LEED strategies.

Streets were designed to reflect spatial qualities found in parts of the old city of Montreal, combined with high-rise densities more common in contemporary metropolitan areas. The project includes a central square on the river and an archaeological interpretive park in addition to several other waterfront parks and recreation areas.
