To accommodate additional capacity, VIA is completing both preliminary and detailed design to renovate existing light rail rapid transit stations with a combined $28 million dollar project budget.

These stations were constructed as part of the 1986 Expo Line LRT system. After experiencing tremendous growth in ridership, we are working to substantially reorganize and update stations to improve circulation, connections to buses, way-finding, lighting, and plaza/landscaping design. Main Street Station will also contain a public art element.
