New Westminster, BC
This regeneration of the five city blocks that wrap around New Westminster SkyTrain Station is a pioneer integration of a transit facility at the heart of a new linkage between the City's historic core and its riverfront. The first two of the four residential towers started construction in mid 2006. In addition to a total of 800 dwelling units, which includes the tallest tower in Westminster, the one million square foot development includes 180,000 square feet of retail/commercial flanking the station concourses, intended to bring back the "Market Square" to downtown New Westminster.
