The CDS currently working with Solid Ground's Lettuce Link program on the design of two shelters at the new Rainier Vista Community Farm in Columbia City. Creatively reusing salvaged wood shipping pallets and old light standards, the structures will provide both rain and sun shelter for a series of gabion and concrete countertops designed by a local artist. These areas will be used for vegetable preparation, education and demonstration events, and cooking at social gatherings.
