In addition to the overall urban design, site planning and selection process for this project, VIA directed the design and construction of 34 state-of-the-art bus shelters and information systems along 20 miles of urban arterials from the Waterfront Station to Richmond City Hall in Vancouver, BC. Three of the stations included park-and-ride facilities and coordination with multiple bus routes. VIA ensured quality control of the design through a multiple review process that included technical and steering group committees.
