VIA Architecture is providing urban design services for the east and west corridors of the new SR 520 bridge replacement project for the Washington Department of Transportation. Our work is focusing specifically on the interface between transit facilities and the new roadway design, and includes the prototypical design of BRT stations and passenger amenities.
The SR - 520 project will result in a six-lane corridor replacement from I-5 to just west of I-405. The east-west corridor will have four general-purpose lanes and two HOV lanes. VIA is also providing bus rapid transit station design consultant services for 2 stations in median locations on the eastside of Lake Washington.
