The 3665 Stone Way Apartments are centrally located in the flourishing sub-district of Stone Way, a minor arterial that is the boundary between Seattle’s energetic Wallingford and Fremont neighborhoods. These 8-story residential apartments will provide quality urban housing within the Fremont Hub Urban Village in an area that is close to services and excellent transit access.
3665 Stone Way comes at an exciting time as the neighborhood begins to evolve into a distinct place for sought-out restaurants, engaging retail, spirited street life, and ease of access to important North Seattle destinations like the University of Washington and major employers. As the community transitions from an immediate surrounding of low-intensity warehouses and auto-oriented services, a more livable and walkable urban environment is emerging to be supported by these residences.
The project features a street-facing courtyard and plaza that will enhance the public realm and provide massing relief and modulation to the street wall, welcoming residents and guests. The VIA design team focused on creating an attractive and unique addition to the neighborhood; one that integrates into the existing fabric while providing support and accessibility to a variety of modes of movement, and fosters a safe public space with lighting, landscaping, and places to gather.
