Principal
Jim has more than 28 years of professional experience focused largely on complex, transportation-related planning and design projects. His project involvement has included all phases of design, from early programming and feasibility studies to the preparation of final construction documents and specifications, as well as construction administration and management.
Jim has worked on a wide variety of project types and sizes, both in the United States and abroad, from small tenant-improvement projects to the design and construction of new international airport terminals. Jim is passionate about great architecture and design and is committed to creating built environments that promote stronger and more sustainable communities.
Favorite Project & Why
Ben Gurion Airport, Tel Aviv – A fascinating and complex project with a design team spread around the globe. The project provided an opportunity to examine the vital importance of a transportation hub as civic architecture and as a gateway to the community.
Favorite Thing About Your Job
I love the complex problem-solving aspect of design; working a complex problem with a talented team, and step-by-step, developing a unique design solution tailored to a particular location/community.
Favorite Thing to Do
Traveling to new places. I absolutely love seeing new places and getting to experience different cultures and perspectives.
